About Felicity Heaton
A keen reader of fantasy, horror and classic novels since a young child, I began my first story, a gothic horror, at age fourteen. School work quickly intervened to put an end to a budding writing career, but in 2003 I turned my hand to writing again and haven't even stopped to breathe since.
A writer of emotion and life, I always strive to touch a chord of familiarity in my readers and give them characters they will love and a read they will remember. The passionate tales of romance that I've penned have captured readers hearts and imaginations, earning me a dedicated following the likes of which I only dreamed of when I began writing.
Three of my novels were previously published by Linden Bay Romance. In 2006, I co-founded the self-publishing cooperative, Alinar Publishing, and since then have self-published my stories.
Since becoming self-published, I have been blessed with numerous top ten and several number one best sellers on the most popular ebook site, Fictionwise. Most notably, my passionate paranormal romance novels, In Heat and In Heat: Mating Call, spent several weeks straight at number one, and my recent paranormal romances and science fiction romances have all enjoyed top ten positions not to mention great sales and wonderful reviews!
I have received several recommended reads and five star reviews for my paranormal romances from a variety of romance review websites such as Fallen Angel Reviews, Lovevampires.com, Bitten by Books, Long and Short Reviews, We Write Romance, Paranormal Romance Reviews and Love Romances to name a few.
Now I'm turning my attention to publishing houses and finding an agent, determined to break into the wider market of print. My primary genre is paranormal romance and urban fantasy, although I do enjoy writing science fiction and fantasy too. My three current projects for print are paranormal romance, and I have a seven book paranormal romance/urban fantasy series which I will begin writing in 2010.
